Introduction to Stained Glass (Parts I & II)
Part I of this Introduction to Stained Glass (ISG) provides an introduction to stained glass techniques, particularly the copper foil method, and a brief history of stained glass in the United States. Participants will practice using glass cutting tools and will select a stained glass pattern to be used in ISG Part II.
Part II will continue building upon skills developed in Part I, including grinding glass pieces to fit the selected pattern, copper foiling each piece, and soldering the final product.
The final product of this two part course is a window hanging (6x6 max size). All tools, glass, copper foil, solder, and other materials are included in the cost of these courses.
